I\ntaught myself Spanish when I was about 15 years old using the book “Teach\nYourself Spanish”. Then, at the\nuniversity in Taiwan, I met the Jesuit priest from Spain, Father Marcelino\nAndreu, who became my mentor. I was able\nto talk with him and he corrected my writings during my college years. The Spanish language I have learned was that\nof the 1950s. I hope you don’t find it too strange, although I’ve been reading El\nPa\u00eds and BBC World in recent years. Please\nread what I have written about P.
